Position

Ficus Natasja Midnight Beauty is a very popular houseplant in temperate areas, due to its elegant growth and tolerance of poor growing conditions; it does best in bright, sunny conditions, but also tolerates considerable shade.

Water

It requires a moderate amount of watering in summer, and only enough to keep it from drying out in the winter.

Temperature

Longer days, rather high and moderate day temperatures at night are favourable conditions for great appreciable growth in a short time. 

Fertiliser

Ficus is a vigorous grower and a voracious feeder! Apply a six-month controlled-release fertiliser at the start of each spring and autumn, and supplement it during the peak growing season with monthly doses of a water-soluble or liquid plant food. Indoor plants may need feeding through winter too, but reduce the frequency of the liquid fertilisers to once every two months.
